Below are specimens representing 3 species of Spinitectus, which are fairly common parasites of sunfishes and basses (Centrarchidae).

Below on the left is the anterior end of a female of Rhabdochona (probably R. milleri) and on the right is the posterior end of the male of this species. This is a common parasite of various minnows and darters in the Big Thicket.

Below are 2 other nematodes common in Big Thicket fishes (more to come). On the left is the anterior end of Camallanus sp. and on the right is the anterior end of Dichelyne sp.
